Veritas Collegiate Academy expanded to the suburbs of Washington, DC in the spring of 2017. The Fairfax campus provides classical Christian education to students in K - 12th grade. Our founders, Sean and Maria Elgut, are the administrators of the VCA in Fairfax. Their 2nd school year is in full swing and our mission continues.
Veritas Collegiate Academy, Chesapeake campus, is the flagship campus for the three classical Christian schools. It was founded by Sean and Maria Elgut in 2006 and was formerly known as Veritas Christian Academy. The Chesapeake campus is in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia and serves kindergarten through 12th grade.
Veritas Collegiate Academy widened its vision to bring classical education across the globe when it opened its doors in Beijing, China in 2015. The school continues to expand, and today serves grades 7-11, and has grown in both quantity and quality of students and faculty. As the first American Classical school in Beijing, China, Veritas is gradually becoming one of the premier American college prep. schools in that city.
Located on the grounds of a former university, Meihua Veritas, boasts a beautifully landscaped 35 acre campus. This campus serves students in 7th through 11th grade. Our American faculty is dedicated to the Trivium philosophy of Classical education of our American campuses. Similar to our Beijing Campus, students will complete their education in 12th grade on our American campuses. Additionally, students attending the American Veritas campuses have the opportunity to travel to China, take classes, tour, and culturally emerge themselves.This unique attribute, truly enhances the global educational model Veritas has pioneered.
In the Fall of 2019, the first European Campus of Veritas will open in the beautiful Central European city of Budapest, Hungary. Located on the campus of the Korosi Csoma Bilingual Baptist High School, Budapest Hungary, in an adjoining building, Veritas will open this year serving students in 9th grade, and will add 1 to 2 grades each year, with the goal of becoming a 1-12 school within 5 years.
